Paddy Power is listed on both the London and Irish Stock Exchanges. According to the Paddy Power Poker website their mission is to "make risk-based entertainment' more accessible and fun. It offers customers an unparalleled betting experience that is great value; great fun and has the best service."
Paddy Power Poker Game features
Paddy Power Poker is a site on the popular iPoker Network, the third largest network on the net. Paddy Power Poker has all sorts of action for all types of players. You will find an immense amount of players at limits of $0.02/$0.04 all the way up to $3/$6. For the No Limit and short handed players the action is pretty significant at the higher limits as well.
The game pace on the iPoker network is relatively slow however, the loose quality of games more than make up for the lag. Besides plentiful NLHE and LHE games, players can also find games at various forms of Omaha and Stud. The Pot Limit Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo games seem particularly robust. There is also some decent Stud action up to 3/6.
The iPoker Network also provides a couple unique types of tables for niche groups- beginners' tables and "No DP" tables. The beginner tables are for new players to learn the game a bit better to become more comfortable before the sharks get their chance to take their bites. With "No DP" (which stands for "No Disconnection Protection") players can play without the fear of somebody abusing the Disconnection Policy, which puts players all-in who "disconnect."
Being one of the largest sites on the net, the MTT and SNG selection is going to satisfy most types of players. In addition to the usual selection of guaranteed tournaments, satellites, freerolls, Paddy Power also offers qualifiers to main popular live events including popular favorites such as the WSOP, WPT and the ECOOP events. Like the cash game tables, there are also beginners SNG tournaments available as well.
Paddy Power Poker Software features
The software does run a bit slow, however Paddy Power makes up for it elsewhere. The lobby is designed well where players can easily select the type of game that they would like to play on the left hand side of the client. Once a game and limit have been select, viewable will be the name of the table, stakes, players at the table, average pot, players per flop, hands per hour and the number of people on the waiting list.
Other features available include the ability to not show avatars, view chat or not, display a 4 color deck, show folded cards and an option to display a warning for large bets. Players can also choose to display their tables in full screen mode and "mini view" which allows players to play many tables on the same monitor without overlap. They do offer an 'instant play' option if you don't want to download their application. This also works well for Mac users and is a unique feature for a room on the iPoker network.
Poker Tracker support is available for most games in versions V2 and V3. Players can also auto-import hands that have been stored on your computer. In order to do this players must make sure "store hands locally" is checked in the Paddy Power options.
