Hollywood Poker Overview

How to Download

I can tell you from personal experience that you need to have the latest version of Java in order for the no-download option to work.

Hollywood Poker Support can be reached by e-mailing support@hollywoodpoker.com. I e-mailed with a question about the registration process and received a reply in about an hour. There is also a Live Chat feature accessible from the website by clicking on “Live Help” on the left-hand menu. You’ll be chatting with an agent in no time. I even received a follow up e-mail to a Live Chat session I had o Hollywood Poker, so I’d consider customer service to be one of the site’s strong points.

Tournament Information

The OnGame Network’s tournaments provide each of its member sites with a ton of value; Hollywood Poker is no exception. Check out the three day long Grand Tournament, which features a $750,000 guarantee. Held on the last weekend of every month, the Grand is a $1,040 buy-in, three day tournament that starts on Friday. Blinds increase every half hour and you start with $10,000 in chips. There’s a pretty fluid satellite structure available; the cheapest satellites are $1.20. Direct qualifiers cost $162 or $108, depending on the tournament’s structure.

The Big Deal runs once per week. The $150,000 guarantee event comes with a $320 price tag and runs at 12:00pm ET on Sundays. Sit and Go qualifiers for the Big Deal cost between $1.20 and $54. Multi-table tournament qualifiers for the Big Deal cost between $1.20 and $33.

Every Sunday at 2:00pm ET, the Hollywood Poker Celebrity Classic features up to $2,000 in bounties on your favorite celebrities. Knock out one celebrity and you’ll win $25. Michael Woods Celebrity Invitational
There’s up to $1,000 in celebrity bounties available in the Michael Woods Celebrity Invitational. It’s a cheaper version of the Celebrity Classic, running just $11 to enter. Knock out one celebrity and you’ll win $25. Knock out two celebrities and you’ll win $100. Knock out three celebrities and you’ll win $250. Knock out four celebrities and you’ll win $500. Knock out five celebrities and you’ll take home the grand prize of $1,000. This tournament starts every Saturday at 2:00pm ET.

Canadian Poker Night
OK, Canucks. Here’s your chance to shine! This is the lowest limit celebrity bounty tournament offered and will only set you back $5.50. Knock out one celebrity and you’ll win $25. Knock out two celebrities and you’ll win $100. Knock out three celebrities and you’ll win $250. Knock out four celebrities and you’ll win $500. Canadian Poker Night is every Tuesday at 10:00pm ET.

Poker Happy Hour
Four times a week, Hollywood Poker offers special promotions as part of Poker Happy Hour, which runs from 3pm to 3am ET. If you catch an ace with pocket aces, you can win up to $100. If you catch four of a kind jacks or better, you can also qualify to win $1,000. These promotions are extremely popular in brick-and-mortar casinos.
