Game Features

Betsafe Poker runs Hold'em tables, Omaha, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Draw. Players have the option of sitting down at 10 seat, 5 seat or 2 seat tables.

The various types of Hold'em games include Limit, No Limit and Pot Limit. Limits for LHE go up to $500/$1000 but games are usually only available up to $25/$50 and many of them are short handed. For NLHE, players should find decent action up to $10/$20, especially short handed.

Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo are available in Limit, Pot Limit and No Limit, with small blinds from $0.10 to $50. Betsafe Poker only offers Fixed Limit 7-Card Stud, with stakes between $0.25/$0.50 and $50/$100. Most of the action is at $2/$4 and below.

Betsafe Poker’s Sit & Gos come in all sizes and flavors: all game varieties are available  in most limits as tables with 2, 5, 10, 30 or 50  players; and buy-ins range from $1 to $500. The vast majority of these are No Limit Hold’em, but odds are you will find the combination you want. Most tourneys start with 2,500 chips, and blinds go up every 10 minutes. Turbo tournaments are also run where blinds go up every 3-8 minutes. There are even Double or Nothing SNGs with blinds that go up every 3 minutes and pay half the entrants.

Regular scheduled tourneys are really heavy on No Limit Hold’em – with buy-ins from $0.25 to $100 and many special tournaments with buy-ins in the thousands. Software Features

The main lobby at Betsafe Poker is cool and easy to navigate, with buttons at the top and a window to display tables and all the standard info including table name, stakes, players, average pot, hands per hour and flop %.
Table graphics are great with cool looking avatars and slick table play. A mini-view option is available to players who wish to shrink the size of their table to play more tables without overlap. In the preferences window the players can choose to show avatars or not, show a timer or a nice four color deck, among many other options.

Dealer action is smooth and not too fast or slow, although playing at multiple tables can sometimes slow the action a bit. There is a timer bar for all players to know how much time they have left to act. The bar starts out as green and will turn orange or red as time runs out.

Chat and hand information are plentiful for players at Betsafe Poker. Chat can be displayed at the side of the table or in a little box at the bottom of the screen. Information can include all hands dealt, symbols along with bet sizes, player actions and hand summaries including who won the pot and pot size. Points will be awarded in the following manner:

You earn Player Points through playing Real Money games. Only players that have invested money into a pot will be awarded an equal amount of Player Points and only when the pot is raked.

For cash games, Player Points are awarded based on the rake that you contribute to each pot. 3.25 Player Points are awarded for every dollar you contribute in rake. Points are distributed based on play and opponents at the table according to the Ongame Essence model.

Points are awarded in 0.01 steps, for example if you contribute 0.4 dollar in rake you will receive 1.3 Player Points. The amount of points you actually earn will then be determined by the Essence model. . If you take on less experienced opposition you can expect to collect (slightly) less points, if you go up against more experienced players, you will collect (slightly) more points. 

If you are choosing to clear the bonus through single and multi-table tournaments: 5 player points are awarded for every paid dollar in entry fee (real money tournaments). For example, if you enter a $20+2 tournament, you will be awarded 5 * $2 = 10 points, if you enter a $5+$0.50 tournament, you will be awarded 5*$0.50= 2.5 points. The points are awarded when the tournament finishes. Players playing for cashback will receive cashback of 6%-40% of tournament fees depending on VIP status.
