Second Sunday Charity Tournaments
2010, August 30
Feeling charitable? I'm sure we all wish we could do more to help out the many good causes that are out there, but finding the motivation can sometimes be difficult. Absolute Poker may have the solution for you.
On the second Sunday of each month, Absolute Poker holds a $10 tournament with all of the money collected going to a pre-designated charity. A different charity is selected every month, so you can support several different causes.
The best part is, Absolute is throwing in over $2,000 worth of tournament entries into each charity tourney prize pool, including a $66 entry into a $7,000 guaranteed tourney for whoever knocks poker star and host Annie Duke out of the tournament.
Power Hour

Players playing at Ultimate Bet or Absolute Poker during special times can now earn twice the normal rate of Ultimate Points or Absolute Points. The extra points can be applied towards the store, "Points to Cash" and tournament buy-ins. They are not used to increase VIP status level or bonuses. Promotion is available for tournament players and cash game players.
Power Hours:
Monday through Saturday 1 AM ET to 4 AM ET and 1 PM to 4 PM ET
Sundays 1 AM ET to 4 AM ET and 1 PM to 5 PM ET
From February 22nd to February 28th, receive 2x the normal rate of points at HOSE or HORSE games. Heads-up games are not eligible.
Cash for Absolute Points:
2010, February 23
Gold, Platinum and Diamond status members will have the opportunity to exchange their Absolute Points each month for cash at a rate of $0.007 per point. Because players can earn Absolute Points up to 5x the rate of Status Points, players can effectively earn up to an additional $0.035 per Status Point. This is an addition to the bonuses that can be cleared. There is a maximum per month: $50 for Gold status members, $250 for Platinum and $1,000 for Diamond. These cash bonuses are in addition to the regular sign-up and reload bonuses.
Play Chip Hall of Fame:
2010, February 23
Players that accumulate 10 Million play chips will receive an email notifying them that they have received $50 in bonus dollars and that their play chips have been reset to 20,000. Players' nicknames will then be added to the Absolute Poker Hall of Fame list. The $50 pending bonus will only be posted in the player's account upon completion of their first deposit.
The FAME Loyalty Program:
2010, January 18
Absolute Poker offers a Rewards Program that awards frequent players with additional benefits. All players are enrolled in the program automatically however the more Status Points you earn per month, the higher status you earn and the more perks you will receive.
There are five status levels at Absolute Poker:
| Status | Status Pts required* | Absolute Point Multiplier |
| Bronze | 0 | 1x |
| Silver | 50 | 2x |
| Gold | 500 | 3x |
| Platinum | 2,500 | 4x |
| Diamond | 10,000 | 5x |
*Monthly Points required. In the case of the diamond status, players have a three month window in which to maintain their status.
So for example, to be considered a "Gold" status player you would need to earn 500 Status Points for the month and you would then earn Absolute Points at 3x the rate of Status Points. Absolute Points do not count towards VIP levels, however Absolute Points can be redeemed for cash or tournament tickets.
Perks of each status level (note: each level also includes the perks from lower statuses):
Bronze Basic package
Silver: Credits for Gas, Tourneys for Credits
Gold: Up to $50 as part of the "Absolute Points for Cash" promotion (this is an addition to the regular bonus), points for tickets/events, Absolute Rewards store
Platinum: 10% Ultimate Shopping discounts, up to $250 as part of the "Absolute Points for Cash Program", contact with VIP Host, limited edition merchandise
